5 Self Care Practices to Manifest Wealth

Ready to multiply your income?  Then it may be time to take a break.

Wait what?!

Yes you read that correctly.  In your world of hustle and grind, if you’re striving to increase, it may be time for you to pause for the cause of self-care.

Life is busy.  There are clients to attract then care for, products and services to create and provide, offers to be shared, seminars to host, keynotes to give, content to post, events to attend, orders to fulfill and that’s just worklife.

These days the grind is glorified –And I get it; you won’t get far without authentically putting in the work.

However, there is something to be said for pausing the grind and taking a moment to refuel and focus on what’s next.

You are so important, so valuable, and so loved.  Remember, the number one contributor to your success is you.  You are your most valuable asset. So it stands to reason that the care and keep of you is essential to manifesting more in your life and business.

Practicing self care and wellness is no longer a luxury, it’s a must.

You are more resilient, focused, creative, productive and ultimately profitable when you are feeling your best physically and mentally. As a business woman striving for long term success always remember:

  1. Your body needs a break.
  2. Your creativity needs a boost.
  3. Your mindset needs to bloom.

For these things to happen, pampering, quiet time, beauty breaks and nourishing your physical body must all be added to your lifestyle.  They work together to revitalize you and help you to operate at peak performance and prevent you from completely stressing out.

The long hours, financial concerns and emotional roller coaster ride that comes with running a business can create enough stress to do real damage.

According to WomensHealth.gov, one survey revealed that stress affects women in a more physical sense than it does for men.

Stress triggers the production of the hormone cortisol, which is fine in small doses, but in large doses can lower immune response, increase the risk of mental illness and negatively impact bone density levels. Stress gone wild can shut you down.

So don’t wait until your body or your mind FORCES you to shut down. De-stress and take care of yourself day by day.

So what’s a boss babe to do when it comes to the care and keep of you?

Here are 5 of my favorite things you can do to show love to your most important asset – YOU!

Yes I know, I know, it’s not the easiest thing to ask of a business owner, but it has to happen.  Never-ending work hours and very little rest, coupled with the pressures of running a company can lead to high levels of stress.

Besides the fact that high stress levels affect your cognitive functions, slows your accuracy, and ability to make critical decisions; it’s been linked to an increased risk of heart disease, diabetes, and Alzheimer’s.  And the worse part is all that wear and tear usually leads to lower profits and loads of mistakes.  Studies show productivity losses and workplace accidents due to stress cost around $44 billion in the US.  –Lets not add to that number.

Go to bed earlier to protect your mind and body and empower you to be more productive and profitable. Recently, I moved my bedtime up an hour and thirty minutes and try to be in bed by Midnight.  As a recovering night owl, this was hard for me at first. But now I love it when I wake up (between 6-7am) rested, full of fresh ideas and ready to have a successful day.

Even on the nights when you still don’t get enough Z’s you can improve the quality of your sleep by…

  • Trying to go to bed at the same time nightly.
  • Diffusing essential oils like lavender or chamomile at night before bed.
  • Shutting down all digital devices 30 minutes before sleeping.
  • Dimming the lights while you do your nightly routine, then cutting them off completely when you hit the bed.
  • Not eating heavy food or sugar at least 3 hours before bedtime
  • Visualizing a successful day or you accomplishing a big goal.  Always go to sleep on a positive note this allows your mind and spirit to hear answers and solutions while you rest.

2How do you pamper?  What simply makes you happy?  A trip to the salon, a massage, mani/pedi, facials or all of the above?   Schedule it, make time for it, set aside money for it.  Remember caring for yourself is no longer a luxury it’s an investment.

An important part of self-care is taking a moment to pause and see the big picture.  Take time to imagine, dream and clarify what you really want. Each day allow yourself time and space to envision your biggest desires and goals manifesting.

Set aside 10 minutes every morning and every night solely to dream.

What do you want to do, be and have?  What does your ideal life look like?  What does your ideal business look like?  It’s time to have a heart to heart with yourself about what you really want.

Without a vision people perish.  When you don’t take time to dream you subject yourselfto feelings of frustration, hopelessness and low self-worth.  For long term success you’ve got to care for your mind  and spirit by dreaming about what’s possible.

Every success story starts with a dream.  Lisa Price, founder and owner of the incredibly successful natural hair care line, Carol’s Daughter; has mastered the art of dreaming.

It all started in 1993 as a dream while she mixed up natural products at her kitchen table. Ms. Price shares about how she would dream often in both her quiet time and working hours about being bought out by a larger company namely Loreal. In a recent article Ms Price shares, L’Oreal was the company that was on my vision board from day one,”

Though her entire business consists of creating self-care products, her wellness routine which included taking time to dream and see the outcome she wanted, is what kept her fueled when things got rough.  Now, her habit of dreaming and hard work has paid her back in a big way! Recently, it was reported that Loreal (the very company she took time to dream about,) purchased Carol’s Daughter for 27 million dollars.

One of the best self-care practices you can have is mastering the art of dreaming.  Accompanied by the right words and actions, they really can come true!

Stress, fatigue and toxins beat against your body every day.  So it’s important to counteract that wear and tear with love and care.

You only have one body so take care of it. Here’s a short list of things you can do to keep your body at it’s best.

  • Eat well. Stay away from processed foods and sugar.  Lean towards fresh organic fruits, vegetables and meats.
  • Move daily. Take a walk, go to spin class, dance around the house, but get moving. Find the essential oils and supplements that are right for you.
  • Laugh more. A happy heart fights off depression and disease.
  • Make small changes to your diet. The smallest changes in how you care for your body can make the biggest impact in your productivity as well as your ability to manifest more.  One of my clients who was lactose intolerant (and didn’t know it at first) simply changed from regular milk to almond milk and said “her whole head cleared up.” Over the next few weeks, she increased her income by over $2,000.

To make this all work you must create (and commit to) a wellness routine. Consistency is the key to wealth in all areas of life.  Self care is not just a weekend getaway to the spa every now and then (though this is encouraged).  Loving and caring for yourself is a collection of small actions each day to receive huge long term results.

Over the years I’ve learned to weave self care into my lifestyle-so everything doesn’t have to come to an abrupt stop just because I need some “me time”  Here is a sneak peak into my self care during a normal day.

I use my Successful Day Notepad to make sure I’m staying productive and being mindful of my self care throughout the day.

I always make time for morning meditation. Don’t rob yourself of the morning routine that will bring you peace of mind then really get your creative juices flowing. Get up early and take 20 minutes to just sit and think. Imagine a day full of opportunities, excitement, answers and increase. Then get ready for a day of success, inspired ideas and getting things done.

Drink a cup of hot lemon water first thing in the morning and the last thing at night. This gets my digestive system going and my body on track to have a good day.

Take deep breaths. Your body needs oxygen, so make it a practice every morning to breathe in deeply at least three times right when you wake up.

Be grateful every. single. night. I take time to pull out my Success Journal and write what I’m grateful for.  No matter how big or small, every day I stop to be thankful for my blessings.  Gratitude wards of anxiety, depression and fear.  As you pause to express gratitude, you’ll attract more good things to be grateful for.

Nourish your mind daily. Every night before bed I listen to an inspirational message or a podcast on a topic with what I’m currently working on.

For the next five days let’s do a self care challenge:

  • Starting today look at your self care habits and note in journal where you need to level up on taking care of yourself.
  • Next write a list of at least 10 practices you will add to you self care routine.
  • Then for the next five days be sure to do at least one of those things everyday.
  • On the fifth day. Write in your journal how much better you feel and a detailed plan to upgrade your self care permanently.

I’ll stay in touch with you on my Instagram to see how you’re doing.

Now let’s chat! What are some of your favorite self care practices? What do you need to add to your routine?
