5 Simple Secrets to Reinventing Yourself

Many people look at the new year as a time for new beginnings; a chance to start fresh with new goals, plans and dreams. There are some key ways you can capitalize on this energy and excitement so you can start the year strong and build momentum as you go.

How your year will end up is largely based on how it starts—which is based on you. You can reinvent yourself and your life if you are truly committed to the process. I am going to share with you five simple keys to creating a new you. Here’s to your best year ever!

1. Ponder: Take time for self-reflection and self-evaluation.

Creating a new you begins with doing a reflective examination of yourself. What habits do you need to change? What old habits will you let go of and what new habits will you form this year so you can be more successful? In what areas did you fall short in last year? How can you ensure that doesn’t happen again this year? Journalize your thoughts and answers to these questions.

You have to make an internal decision once and for all to be your best self. Learn from the mistakes of the previous year, and then let them go. Be confident in who you are—I hereby deem you worthy of an amazing year. Now declare it for yourself! Say, “I am significant. I am worthy of great things!”

2. Plan: Write your vision for a new you.

Make a list of all of your goals for this year—everything you want to accomplish, see, experience, acquire and become. Don’t limit yourself. Write down everything that comes to mind. Challenge yourself to think bigger. Don’t downsize your goals; instead, upsize them.

Now, review your list and begin to plan out your year. Even if you don’t have the means to make everything happen immediately, plan for it. For example, if you desire to take a trip to Hawaii, look at the calendar and choose a month to go. Do as much preliminary planning as you can for each of your goals. Act as if things are happening for you right now!

3. Prepare: Get organized and get informed.

Order precedes increase. It will be impossible to create a new you if your life is full of chaos and clutter. You must get yourself organized in every area of your life. Clean and organize your house, your car, your closets, your office, your desk and your files. Throw away old makeup. Get rid of all the apps you downloaded to your phone and don’t use. Go through your computer files and folders. Eliminate anything that is no longer needed. The more order that you create for yourself, the more you will find clarity, answers and direction toward reaching your goals. It will be much easier to focus in on your exciting year to come!

Preparing for a new you also means getting new information. We are in the Information Age, and things are changing at a rapid pace. You must constantly seek to stay informed and in-the-know in whatever areas interest you. Determine what new magazines you need to subscribe to and which ones to let go of. Write down a reading list and determine what books you will read each month of the year. Begin to build your library now and flood yourself with new information.

 4. Partner: Build your network—and get a coach.

Expand your connections and begin to associate higher. Get into circles of people who are achieving great things. Begin with your current acquaintances, and expand from there. It’s OK to be a little intimidated by those who are very successful, but don’t let that stop you from reaching out to them. Invite someone who is an expert in your field out for lunch or coffee. Be armed and ready with questions, and then be quiet and listen. Soak up their wisdom and make sure to express your appreciation for their time.

Besides building your network, a good coach can be vital to your personal and professional success. A coach can give you insight; ideas, strategies and action steps to ensure you reach your highest potential. They can provide guidance, clarity, wisdom and direction. If people who are at the top in their industries keep themselves accountable to a coach, then it’s time you think about doing the same. Open yourself up to the coaching process. A great coach will take you farther than you can take yourself alone.

5. Push: Take fast action.

Don’t wait on your ideas. Instead, get started and move on them—today. By taking fast action, you will start seeing results right away, which will propel you to keep working toward the next goal, and then the next, and so on. On the contrary, if you write your goals for the year and then don’t look at them again, you will only feel deflated and in turn, hinder your progress. Determine that you will keep pushing and keep pressing this year until you meet all of your goals. Act fast, and act daily. Take action every day in a new way. Do something productive each day.

Your success in will depend on how fast you act. It is the key to continual results and greater success. Don’t wait for the perfect conditions, but implement new information and ideas as quickly as possible. Commit to this process and don’t look back!

Show Up and Go Big!

People who go big in their business and achieve on high levels… always show up. They show up at the right time for the right opportunities  and consequently increase the odds of succeeding in their favor.

I’m a believer in divine placement. I believe in SHOWING UP. I believe that there are people, places, and programs already positioned to help you manifest your greatest desires. I am convinced that there are times in life where you just have to SHOW UP for your solutions to unfold.

Most of the major turning points in my life happened because I SHOWED UP.
I’m so glad that I showed up…15 years ago at an event with Bob Harrison…. I was so inspired that I bought his entire product line, charging my credit card to max…based upon an intuitive nudge and because I understood how information changes the seasons of your life. I was ready for my next level and willing to invest whatever it took to get there. Flash forward ten years later; I was standing on stage in Hawaii as one of his guest speakers along with Myles Munroe and John Bevere.

Showing up in the right places at the right time is very transformative. It’s the difference between the successful and the want-to-be successful. See, the successful always show up against the odds no matter what the circumstance, they let nothing get in their way of a divine appointment. Once they get a witness that they are supposed to get on board,  nothing can stop them.

I’m so glad that I maximized the showing up principle in my life because that’s when the real shift for success came. Now it ‘s your time, indeed it’s your season, don’t miss your moment, decide you’re going to show up.

I get chills just thinking about what’s going to happen when you finally get off the fence and show up where you are supposed to be.

You can achieve your dreams, grow your business, and live the life you truly desire if you’d just show up! Showing up is about pushing past the obstacles, life circumstances, and your inner barriers—any excuse to hold you back. When you wait on the perfect conditions to take action or show up, you’ll never have success on time. At some point you have to bust through the barriers and go after what you really want. Once you’ve come that far, you’ve increased your chances of winning big by 80 percent.

Show up for your business – generate income
Show up to the gym — exercise and get fit
Show up to the grocery store with a healthy shopping list — buy healthy foods and live a healthy lifestyle and extend your life.
Show up to your relationships — schedule time for your family and spouse
Show up to your spiritual practice — meditate, read, attend services, etc.
Show up to success – make decisions, set goals, commit
Show up to give — volunteer, share, help others, etc.
Show up to opportunities — write a book, start a business, create a web site, etc.
Show up to growth — invest in good training to uplevel your thinking. Then invest in books, training materials, memberships that broaden your perspective and expand your thinking so you CAN grow and succeed.

If you allow your business success, your dreams and goals only to be abstract concepts you won’t move forward and progress in these areas. Eventually you need to grab a hold of your dreams and make it real enough for you to turn them into physical actions. Your abstract thoughts and dreams must eventually become a process of showing up.

Of course we know that merely showing up doesn’t guarantee success but it’s certainly a prerequisite. Once you have positioned yourself by showing up, you’re more likely to finish what you’ve started.

It’s the business owners and want-to-be business owners who only contemplate on taking action but never do. Who live in discontent and never get the results they deeply desire.

5 Revealing Secrets to Making It in Life and Business

Whether you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth or shovel in your hand. It takes hard work, persistence and the right mindset to make it in life.

For years I’ve heard many complaints from women about why they can’t make it, what’s holding them back and how hard it is to overcome their current circumstance.

And in many cases they are well aware of what they need to do to win, but somehow are not motivated enough to get it done.

So, what I’ve gathered from these conversations is that success must first be an internal job before you can begin to see external results.  Basically, your success is largely the result of your mindset. There are of course many factors that go into your ability to reach your goals, such as hard work, the ability to take action and discipline, but it all boils down to what you allow yourself to achieve.

1. Stop perpetuating the cycle of defeat. You may want to make it really bad, and maybe stuck in a perpetual cycle of that dictates that you won’t go farther than you currently are right now.

A while back I had a client who wanted to quit their business only after a few months at it, as we evaluated the situation, we discovered they had a cycle of quitting everything as soon as it became difficult…dating all the way back to sports in high school.

Winning in life is an option but if you choose that you must give up the cycle of defeat.You can break the cycle by becoming a finisher. Finishing what you’ve started, instead of running away and giving up at first sign of resistance or a lack of understanding will empower you to keep moving forward and break the cycle of defeat. My client allowed me to coach them though this barrier of defeat so they could go on to create a very successful business by simply focusing on finishing.

2. Never give up…Always show up! Just when you commit to a mentor, meeting or marketing model, there seems to be all kinds of obstacles to sidetrack you and get you off focus from your goals. You can’t let these distractions hold up your progress…never give up. Don’t let a temporary setback stop you from your intended goal. There’s no simple way to achieve success without overcoming challenges.  Do nothing and nothing happens When it gets hard, when you don’t understand, when other things come up…don’t quit. Work through some things to be a leader in your industry. People respect you more when they know you’ve had challenges and worked through them.

I can remember when my daughter and I started Style Shoppe jewelery business…there was a time when we weren’t getting  clients buying our jewelry. I wanted to give up, but then I finally stopped complaining about who didn’t buy and instead changed my market to who was eager to buy. This is how we ended up with a celebrity driven jewelry business. Out of a problem came an incredible opportunity! To always stay focused on your intended goal, get creative in the midst of circumstances.

3. Invest in people, programs and products to help you make it. Dreams can often stay in your minds or on your home computers because you don’t have the tools, resources, experience and connections to turn them into the next big thing.  If you’re like me, you need coach to guide you and push you to the next level. A mentoring program is a great environment for development and networking with others. Instead of trying to figure out every detail on your own, you can invest in a product or program to help you fast track your dreams. New information leads you to the next season of your life.

That’s why I’ve always made investments in programs, products and people for every new level I wanted to get to. And even if I didn’t understand it all at the time, I kept the information because I knew that I would need it some day.

4. Do something with the information you’ve learned. Real success comes from taking action fast! Avoid becoming one of those people who attends countless conference and seminars, buys all the books…but never reads them…or if they do…they don’t take action. This kind of behavior can jade your thinking and have you believing that the systems don’t work…when the real problem is that you haven’t worked the system.

5. Dedicate yourself to mastery. Push to be excellent-To be the best at what you do. Allow the resistance to make you stronger, wiser, better and faster in your industry. Read, study, research your topic or idea and apply what you learn until you become an expert in your field.

Do the work on yourself so you can deliver to people something of value.

Why Most People Fail

In all of my years of coaching and helping women to reach their highest potential
and go after their true desire, I’ve noticed there’s a small number of women who
always push hard, work hard and always seem to break out on TOP…hands held
high…arms stretched wide…celebrating their success. These fortunate few
women live happy, prosperous, vibrant lives because they face their
fears and make a commitment to become dedicated to reaching their goals.

Is fear stopping you from reaching the finish line and finally making it in
business and life?

Over the years, I’ve seen what happens to women who let fear
cause them to become inactive…

…and what I’ve learned is the fastest way to fail is to do
NOTHING…

They are not willing to go all the way with a specific person,
program or product to produce purpose.

2. No system (a complete strategy).

3. No  consistent education. They lack relevant
information to keep them ahead of the competition
and at the top of their industry.

4. No access to coaches (mentors) to teach
and inspire them. Every great and successful
person has a coach who helps them to achieve more.

Why Do You Need a Coach?

While you’re reading this, my husband is whisking me off for a special birthday weekend excursion. As we’re traveling I’m writing to give you the latest details from my incredible MMC meeting last weekend. We had two power-packed days of sharing, brainstorming and enlightenment…the energy was high and kept growing stronger as each member presented their latest projects and achievements.

 

I was so excited to see and hear from them…My Executive MMC members shared amazing success stories of growth and prosperity! So many AMAZING things have happened with them in the last 5 months and now…since our retreat…everyone is moving at full force to finish strong!

You’ll see first hand what I mean during the MMC Showcase event, where many of the MMC Executive team will be showcasing at the Women’s Success Conference in Orlando, FL July 7-9th. And if you are joining us…you are definitely in for an overwhelmingly inspiring presentation of remarkable results. Almost everyone doubled their profits, got new clients…oops!
