I know Fall is just getting here...but I like to set my internal calendar in sync with Fashion...Last week designers released the Spring 2012 collection, sending an amazing spark of color and enthusiasm through the fashion world and beyond.

The View's Sherri Shepherd was married Saturday to her fiance, Lamar Sally. Congrats Sherri! Sherri is an awesome and inspiring woman and I love what she is doing with her life and career. I wish her many years of happiness in her marriage!
A few years ago, Sherri was at my conference, the International Women's Success Conference. She performed her stand-up comedy, and she had us all in tears! She is really hilarious. Here's a clip from her performance:

The biggest display of business success came with the Millionaire Mentorship Club Excellence in Business contest with the top six MMC finalists, who presented their progress over the last six months. The competition came down to two very good presenters. The runner-up, Walynda Thompson, went full-time with her business just as she joined MMC.

Childhood Visits to the Bookstore
As I was reorganizing my library, I stumbled upon an entire treasure of success books that my father had me read growing up.
Many of them brought back so many memories of when my father and I would visit the bookstore--it was our weekly routine that I now do with my own family.
He'd let me choose books on topics I was interested in...but he ALWAYS made me read a book about success too!

Being a mom is a great endeavor for any woman, but it is only one of the many accomplishments that await you in this life. I’m excited that I chose to be the mommy and a mogul. I love that I did not wait for my children to grow to give credence to the ideas and dreams that were bubbling inside of me. Now, the entrepreneurial spirit is an underlying foundation in our home.
