I’m all for the hustle. When I’m working on a project, I get consumed with it. I love what I do and can passionately work on it for hours on end. With my family, business, clients, travel, deadlines etc., GO GO GO is what’s constantly ringing in my head.
But here’s the thing, money making ideas and business breakthroughs don’t normally occur when you’re burnt out. So I’ve learned to rest. Some times you’re not depressed, uninspired or unprepared. You’re just tired. When your body is beyond weary, stop, rest and regroup so you can wake up and win.Take in Good Books and Materials. Read in the direction of your dreams and goals. Enjoy a good biography. Grab some industry specific books and hide away to fill yourself with new knowledge. Grab a motivational book and submerge your mind in page after page of motivation and insight. I read something everyday. I also listen to an audio book during my wind down routine at night.
Books have helped me:
- Spark an idea that generated $10,000 in a matter of days.
- Solve health issues for my family and myself.
- Provided industry specific answers to help me build my business.
Never underestimate the power of reading. Books are often the roadmap to your next creative adventure—and new levels of income.Rejuvenate Yourself By Enjoying Nature. Sometimes you can produce fresh ideas by simply getting some fresh air. Go outdoors, breathe in fresh air, let the sun shine on your face, take a walk. Learn to breathe deeply and let oxygen get into your brain.
To crush cabin fever when working on my business; I’ll often leave my desk and just head outside. It may be as simple as a trip to the market to pick up fresh flowers to spread around my house. Or getting up in the morning to take thought walks to dream, talk to myself, and think about future ideas. The beauty of nature always inspires me.
Here’s your Assignment: Enjoy nature at least 3 times this week. Go outside and take in 3 deep breaths of the fresh air, take a thought walk or get some beautiful flowers to put in your work space. Once you complete your assignment, journalize about any fresh ideas or happy feelings that occurred as a result.Renew Your Mind. Listen to inspirational material daily. Be present, hear what’s being said and take notes. Enroll in a course. Attend a seminar. When you sit down to write out your week and list your to-dos, schedule in activities that breed happiness and laughter.
Plan to enjoy a positive, inspiring movie. Engage in upbeat, purposeful conversations with great people. Infuse positivity into your day whenever possible and you will never be short on inspiration.
Remember the Good Things
Go on a rampage of gratitude- It’s a well-known fact that gratitude is good for the soul.
I start and end everyday with thankfulness. I give thanks each morning when I wake up and I conclude the day by writing my gratitude list in my Success Journal. Want to clear away the gloominess and get back on track to getting things done? Get grateful!
Start today– make 3 expressions of gratitude every 24 hours.
1. List what you’re thankful for,
2. Say what you are grateful for, and
3. Tell others thank you all day long
Gratitude is a transformative force. It’s not possible to stay down in the dumps when gratitude is flowing in your life. Not only will you be more inspired, you’ll start a cycle of gratitude and good vibes coming your way.
Recharge Your Spirit. Listen to your inner wisdom. In the noisy non-stop world we live in, the act of getting quiet is essential in order to stay encouraged, have clarity and make the right decisions. When you are exhausted and feel like you are underachieving, hide away and recharge. Times of meditation and silence with your journal in hand can yield the big answers you’ve been searching for.
Ask God questions. Sit in silence, relax, then…
* Write in your journal all the income increasing ideas that come to you
* List the things you love
* List all of the things you want to do, be and have
Making these lists upgrades your attitude and attracts success solutions into your life. Whenever you need to regain your insight and creativity, sit still and listen within.
“In quiet contemplation comes answers.”
Reclaim Your Inner Beauty and Your Mood.
You can’t control your daily circumstances, but you can reclaim your inner beauty and mood.Small changes like adding lovely flowers or cleaning up an area that’s been bothering you, can drastically improve your mood.
I also love using essential oils as a mood-enhancing element in my home and work spaces. All essential oils are not created equal, so I mostly use 100% organic essential oils. A few of my favorite mood lifters are lemon, sweet orange, rosemary, grapefruit, eucalyptus and lemongrass. Cedarwood is my go-to oil to promote clear thinking, great memory and enhanced brain function.
Drink lots of water. H20 does wonders for your brain and your body. Simply drinking more water can improve your thinking abilities, help you avoid headaches and energize you. Dehydration can cause a sense of oppression, your creativity to wane and make your body feel sluggish and unproductive.
Retreat at Home. Need a spa moment like NOW but can’t get away quite yet? Take matters into your own hands and do a home retreat. Indulge in a long shower or an extended bath soak, and pamper yourself by adding a little rose oil or lavender to your bathing time. Other essential oils like hyssop and frankincense can do wonders for the body. Sometimes you can spark inspiration by spoiling yourself a bit.
Recite Winning Words. Whenever you find yourself uninspired and feeling lack-luster, fight back with your words. Repeating a powerful, positive affirmation multiple times, can jolt your mind back to the business of being productive and profitable.
Say this 10 times or more, “I am worthy of the success I desire, love and happiness. I am significant and lives are improved because of my contribution.”
Saying positive affirmations like this with emotion and heartfelt effort, can pull you out of the dumps and get you refocused on your divine purpose.
In fact, if you can, stop and say it 10 times right now. Then take just 30 seconds to imagine abundance and happiness flowing in your life.
WOW! Big difference huh?! When trying to reboot, you can win the war with your words!
